A full-day school programme for youth who have graduated from high schools, Youth Reaching Youth provides youth with a second chance at their overall development:
Education/Prevention Programme for targeted & non-targetted groups consisting of the following: – training courses in Christian Peer Education, training in Peer Leadership Development, Class-room educational sessions in life-skills and health education topics, large group sensitization sessions on issues affecting teens, life skill workshops, parenting workshops, provides training in employable skills for parents, hosting local and regional conferences in Peer Education, training and consultancy services for others.
Duration: The programme is offered over two (2) years. All students pursuing this programme must cover all courses offered in Year’s one (1) and two (2).
PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
This programme focuses on criminal justice issues in modern societies. Juvenile justice, ethics in criminal justice, strategies of crime control and prevention, violence in communities as well as the influence of race, class, gender and other forms of social inequality on the administration of criminal justice are the focus of the courses. The programme consist of 64 credits in knowledge, competencies and skills required by a modern criminal justice practitioner.
This programme has as its focus the criminal justice system and its relationships with individuals (as victims and/or offenders), professionals (prosecutors, police officers, youth workers), and communities Students will learn about some of the central issues facing the system, why some issues are so controversial, as well as some of the innovative, creative and positive and researching in a meaningful way are just some of the skills attain by the end of the two years.
The multidisciplinary approach in the two years through professionally related electives in a broad range of areas, including social sciences, natural sciences, and business gives flexibility to pursue secondary areas of interest the complement studies in Criminology and enhance career preparation. Attempting to balance the interests of victims, offenders, the public, and politicians makes the field of criminology incredibly dynamic and ever-changing.
A pass in a subject offer by The Caribbean Examination Council at the CSEC level is defined as follows:
Grades: I and II – up to January 1998
Grades: I, II and III – as at May 1998
2. Foundation concepts in Mathematics I, II and III and Foundation in English Language I and II to be equivalent to CSEC Mathematics and English Language, respectively
3. The University of Cambridge – GCE O’Level

PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
This programme is geared towards helping interested persons to develop skills in social work in order to contribute to in community building, families and groups to enhance their individual and collective well-being. It aims to help develop their skills and ability to use available resources and this of the community to resolve problems.
The Associate Degree in Social Work is designed to provide training to persons interested in Social Work to prepare them for work within communities and organizations in order to provide the necessary support needed by Social Workers. The course addresses theories, principles and practices of social work, law and legal regulations as well as human needs and behaviours. The programme is offered in four (4) semesters and two (2) summers full time and part time to incorporated Social Work Practicum, a mandatory aspect of their training. Students pursuing the programme are required to complete all specified credits in the programme, unless otherwise exempted.
The programme is also designed for persons who wish problem solving as well as person who wish to build qualifications towards a professional career in Social Work. At the conclusion of the programme, successful graduates will receive the Associate of Science Degree in Social Work.

The importance of networking cannot be overestimated as it is within this realm that youths can be ministered to in a wholistic manner.
